July 20th 9-10 am (Pacific) – MonitoringResources.org: Documenting Sampling Designs
MonitoringResources.org Sample Designer tool is an online tool that walks you through the steps of creating a sample design. The Sample Designer supports multiple types of sample designs, including the GRTS design type. The tool allows you to create consistent, persistent, shareable documentation of your sample designs. It also allows you to download a Shapefile of your sample locations. Once you have completed your sample design and sampled your sites, you can come back to MonitoringResouces.org and report back on your data collection actions.
We invite you to join PNAMP on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 9am (Pacific) for a series of webinars focused on the MonitoringResources.org web tools.
MonitoringResources.org is designed to assist practitioners in documenting how, when, where, and why data are collected. With standard documentation, practitioners will be able to enter data once then easily update and share. Colleagues and practitioners in the region can access and learn from others. This toolset can also link to other information systems (e.g., project tracking systems, databases, metadata repositories) for automatic updating. Funders and managers can review existing and proposed work to better understand gaps and overlaps in a given spatial extent.
The general format will be a 15 minute overview of tools, 30 minutes delving into the specific tool, and 15 minutes of open discussion. Upon request PNAMP staff will provide additional one-on-one training sessions for interested users. Questions, comments, or to schedule a training please contact the PNAMP team, firstname.lastname@example.org
