DESCRIPTION:Pacific Salmon Commission (PSC) invites you to participate in the virtual PSC seminar series: Environmental variation and Pacific salmon management: the view from both sides of the border.\n\n\nREGISTER HERE: Webinar Registration – Zoom\n\nThe 28th seminar is “​​The 2026 El Niño and state of the Columbia and Fraser River Fisheries​” featuring Dr. Guillaume Mauger (UW Climate Impacts Group)​\, ​Shannon Conley (WDFW\, Columbia River)\, and Dr. Catherine Michielsens (PSC Secretariat) on Wednesday\, August 19th from 2:00 – 3:30pm (PDT).\n\nThe monthly seminar series feature noted speakers from the US and Canada to discuss diverse aspects of environmental variation and their impacts to salmon and management. Following each presentation will be an extended Q & A session to allow in-depth discussion of the topic. This seminar series follows from 2021’s workshop on using environmental indicators to inform salmon management. It is intended to provide the latest information on environmental variation\, its effects on salmon across the life cycle\, and approaches to address this variability in salmon management from both Western and Aboriginal perspectives.\n\nSeminars will be recorded and available to watch from the PSC’s website or YouTube channel.\n\nAfter registering\, you will receive an e-mail from Zoom with the link to join the webinar.
