The Lamprey Technical Workgroup’s Adult Passage and Engineering Subgroup recently released a new technical white paper providing guidelines on the trap and haul of adult Pacific Lamprey, including guidance on equipment, handling procedures, and holding water parameters (e.g., temperature and oxygen levels).
The Subgroup provides a comparison of volitional passage and trap and haul, providing practitioners with the tools needed to determine where trap and haul is needed. Case studies on trap and haul methodologies used across the globe are available in Appendix A.
