SAVE THE DATE and Call for Abstracts for the 2027 Klamath Basin Sucker Technical Meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, January 13th, 2027, at the Klamath Community College Conference Center. The meeting will be hybrid, with both in‑person and virtual participation options. It is usually followed with a close-door technical meeting for presenters on January 14th.
This annual meeting provides an important forum for sharing new sucker science, discussing ongoing recovery efforts, and coordinating work across agencies, Tribes, academic partners, NGOs, and local stakeholders. I encourage anyone interested to consider submitting a title and abstract (or attend)—details and contact information are included in the forwarded message below.
For USGS staff that are traveling, the meeting has been entered into UTRIP, and they are working on getting the event formally justified as a mission operational meeting. Updates will be relayed as soon as they are available.
