2016-2019

Summary

Regional indicators are used to communicate information about the status and trends of biological and environmental conditions across broad geographic scales. Because of increasing interest for improved regional indicator reporting, the Pacific Northwest Aquatic Monitoring Partnership is bringing together scientists and policy professionals to develop recommendations for how to better utilize information that is already being collected across the Pacific Northwest. Project participants will help identify management questions and indicators of common interest and make recommendations for how to improve indicator data compatibility, accessibility, and reporting. For this pilot effort we decided to start with indicators related to flow, macroinvertebrates, water temperature, and water quality index.
