What is it?
A free workshop to share and discuss current use of PIT tag arrays and best practices for continued use and data management
Who should attend?
Monitoring practitioners who use PIT tag arrays, and data stewards and analysts who work with the resulting data.
Our goals are to share information, discuss current practices and standards, and set the stage for later work toward assessment and optimization of tributary PIT tag array implementation. We will address:
• protocols and standards for operation and maintenance of PIT tag arrays,
• protocols and standards for data management and communication of resulting information, and
• considerations for future applications of PIT tag arrays in the region.
Anticipated Outcomes
• Identify best practices and establish processes to ensure continued access to this information
• Identify needs for future coordination among practitioners (topics, participants, mechanisms, timelines)
• Set the stage for future discussion of an optimized network of PIT arrays for designated purposes
• Inform future operations and maintenance plans for equipment management and contracting
